Let’s hear it for the 2018 Grand Champion of the 30th annual Jack Daniel’s World Championship Invitational Barbecue—Butcher Barbecue! Thanks for an epically delicious weekend, and we hope to see you back in Lynchburg next year.

 

2018 GRAND CHAMPION

Turns out, 7 isn’t just Jack’s lucky number. After six previous appearances at The Jack, Butcher Barbecue of Chandler, OK claimed the title of Grand Champion at the 30th Annual competition. Congrats!

AGENDA & PARKING

For one weekend every year, the smallest town in whiskey becomes the biggest scene in barbecue. 2018 promises to be no different with great music, fun events, 7 individual category competitions and 90 international teams vying for the title of Grand Champion.

2018 COMPETITORS

67 championship teams from the U.S. and 23 international teams from around the world convene in Lynchburg to compete for the coveted title of The Jack Grand Champion.

JUDGE SPOTLIGHT

Veteran judge Ray "Dr. BBQ" Lampe is a true original. After quitting the family trucking business, his interest in barbecue shifted from serious hobby to professional career. With decades of experience, awards, and nine cookbooks under his belt, he's officially branded his name in the world of BBQ.
