COOKING OUT DETROIT STYLE
It was a picture-perfect day for a cookout in Grand Circus Park, as nearly 600 Detroiters showed up to show love for their city’s finest flavors, makers, and performers.
COOKOUT DRINKS
Local bartender Fay Li was in attendance, serving up a specialty cocktail dedicated to Detroit—The Fuzzy Stinger, made with Jack Honey, muddled with lemon, and garnished with mint.
COOKOUT FOOD & VENDORS
Detroiters were treated to a few of the area’s best edible offerings, including Mediterranean tacos from Drunken Rooster and fresh-smoked meats from Lazybones Smokehouse Mobile.
CLEAR SOUL FORCES
Following spirited performances by openers Sonya Alvarez, The Beggars, and DJ Dez Andres, Clear Soul Forces hit the stage with their inspired blend of Motown soul and underground drum & bass.
REIMAGINING THE MOTOR CITY
It’s been 10-years since the great recession of 2008, but in Detroit, MI, those times have never felt further away. Artists like Cyrah Dardas are a big reason why.
