WHAT IS A WHISKEY MULE?

A whiskey mule is essentially a Moscow mule with whiskey instead of vodka. This is also known as a Kentucky mule, but with a whiskey as good as Jack’s, we had to create a mule cocktail recipe of our own. Generally speaking, whiskey has a deeper, more robust flavour profile than vodka which allows it to cut through the ginger and create a perfectly balanced whiskey mule.

Our smooth Tennessee Whiskey gives the cocktail a smoky, rich base which sets the stage for the ginger beer to add a peppery kick that is both zesty and refreshing. Lastly, a squeeze of lime goes a long way in finishing off this spicy serve. The addition of citrus works in harmony with the sweetness of the whiskey and the spiciness of the ginger beer, creating a delicious, well-rounded cocktail.

Whiskey and ginger

This whiskey mule cocktail recipe is made with the classic combination of whiskey and ginger beer along with citrus and fizz, making it the perfect summer refresher and an ideal winter warmer.

If you find the fire of ginger beer a bit too challenging for your taste buds, then try swapping for ginger ale. Jack Daniel’s and ginger ale works just as well and this sweeter alternative still delivers the taste of ginger but without the intense kick. Learn more about pairing whiskey with ginger here.
