1905 Gold Medal Series
LIEGE INTERNATIONAL (1905) AWARDS GOLD MEDAL
Jack Daniel was a Master Distiller who knew the secret of making fine sipping whiskey. He was also a small-town gentleman who knew the secret of making good friends.
In 1904, Jack Daniel befriended Mr. M. Hoctor of Great Britain at the St. Louis World’s fair. The Englishman insisted the world would welcome the distinctive taste of Mr. Jack’s charcoal-mellowed whiskey. He encouraged Mr. Jack to send the very first of his whiskey to Europe, where, in 1905, it was awarded the Gold Medal in Liege, Belgium.
Second in the Gold Medal series, this 750ml bottle, released in 1997, celebrates Jack Daniel’s 1905 Gold Medal. A 1L version of the 1905 Gold Medal bottle was produced for international markets.
