Simple syrup

Instructions
1/2 fill a cocktail shaker with cubed ice
Add all ingredients and shake vigorously for 15-20 seconds
1/2 fill a rocks glass with cubed ice
Strain the liquid into the glass
Add orange zest twist to garnish
About this Drink
The 'Silent Third' cocktail was first published in the 1937 Café Royal Cocktail Book as a Scotch whiskey recipe. Tennessee was still coming out of the era of Prohibition, so our whiskey just wasn’t available. We thought it was about time we remedied that.
